Currently, Iran's capital market expressed its readiness to set up a mercantile exchange as well as a joint trading platform in Damascus, SEO Adviser remarked. Due to the utmost importance of this topic, Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) has decided to open an independent office in Damascus to have continuous and close monitoring on this project, Bijani said.

Recently a high-ranking economic delegation comprising the Head of the Economic Commission of Iranian Parliament, as well as the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade (MIMT) have visited Syria, exchanging ideas on this issue with their Syrian counterparts and capital market authorities, inviting them to continue the discussion here in Tehran.
